Introteknik is the specialist on maintenance of steel and plate. Our business concept is to develop rust protection systems that, even with limited surface preparation, will give a durable, economic and environmentally friendly rust protection.

We cooperate with many of Europe’s leading paint producers like e.g. Tikkurila Coatings AB and Relius Coatings & Co GmbH.

During the more than 20 years that the rust protection system has been developed, a great number of tests has been accomplished by independent bodies like The Defense Administration in Sweden (FMV), The Swedish Corrosion Institute (SCI) and The Swedish National Testing and Research Institute (SP).

One example is the report VOT 70/91 from FMV, “Paint systems for rusty surfaces” (in Swedish). After 14 years exposure in tough seawater environment at Bohus Malmön it was concluded by FMV in its report that Isotrol could replace earlier used red lead.

The report 2002:4 by The Swedish Corrosion Institute is another study that proves the good rust protection properties of Isotrol on rusty and red lead painted frameworks and rivet joins 14 years after performed treatment. Out of the report it is evident that it is not necessary to blast away rust and old red lead but Isotrol can be used instead.
